Quentin Grégoire, President of ReZonWal Commander of the Vesdre, Hoëgne & Plateau rescue zone(Belgium), will discuss the legal foundations of Emergency Medical Assistance (EMA) in Belgium, from the regulations to the new crisis management guidelines. He will discuss the organization's emergency services (from call 112, triage, dispatch of ambulance, PIT, SMUR*, to helicopter) and the various individuals involved (personnel, rescue zones, Red Cross, and private services)


Sylvain Bernier, President, Corporation des Services d'Ambulance du Québec (CSAQ) Director of Operations, Ambulances Demers (Quebec), will provide an in-depth understanding of the Quebec prehospital environment, highlighting its unique characteristics. From clinical intervention to billing management, he will explore how continuous quality improvement enables paramedics to achieve their clinical, operational, and administrative objectives while ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals.

 

Marie-Pier Thériault Vice President, Technical Services and Quality, Propair (top) and Annie Trudel, Chief Nurse of the Aeromedical Department, Propair (bottom) (Quebec), together will discuss the company’s history of providing essential services in extreme conditions and highlight the close links between Propair and ground ambulance services. Together, Marie-Pier Thériault and Annie Trudel will also discuss Propair’s Accreditation Canada journey, from pre-accreditation to the highest level award, as well as their rigorous quality controls and training programs.

 

Chantal Saumure Director of Quality, Patient Experience and Professional Practice at Medavie Health Services New Brunswick (MHSNB). This presentation will provide participants with an overview of a unique model of integrated service delivery from the union of three provincial programs, namely Ambulance New Brunswick (ANB), the Extra-Mural Program (PEM- Home care) and New-Brunswick (NBHL- Primary Care) in New-Brunswick, an eastern province in Canada.
